On the 13th of June 2026, IIUM.FM held their Official Annual Grand Dinner at Loka Coffee, Sri Gombak, with the theme of Kampung Chek Dot, as a way of celebrating their hard work and efforts throughout this whole year. Around 20 members attended the special event where everyone ate, drank, and sang together.
The evening started off with housekeeping announcement and openings. After that, remarks from the advisor of IIUM.FM; Madam Zarita were given. This was followed by a speech from the station manager, Br. Huzeer Zakaria. The session continued with an annual report on each bureau and their performances followed by a recap video of the year which brought tears to some. Then, we had our opening by our two emcees, along with the singing of Asmaul Husna, the IIUM song and the IIUM.FM song.
Awards were also given to the crews as tokens of appreciation for their hard work and dedication to this organization.
The IIUM.FM Awards consisted of 10 different categories. These included the Best Crew of the Year, an award given to the station manager; the Best News Caster of the Year, presented to Sr. Siti Asma Fatiha; and the Best Technical Support of the Year award, which was given to Br. Muhammad Amirul Izzat for his constant contribution in helping out behind the scenes of our radio sessions. The Best Ground Event of the Year was given to Light of Ramadan, an event managed by Sr. Wan Nur Aleeya. This event was dedicated to helping ashnaf people by preparing and serving food to them during the holy month of Ramadan. The Best Radio Announcer of the Year was given to Sr. Aysha Afrin, while the Best Radio Programme of the Year was awarded to the program Fiqh Al-Shabab by Sr. Nur Nabila Irdina.
Other awards given were to the podcast Chat Tak Kosong and its producer, Br. Muhammad Adam Muzzamil, for The Best Podcast Episode of the Year; Life in Japan. The Best Podcast Host of the Year went to Br. Muhammad Azim Rosnan and his podcast, Podcast Madani. The Best Social Media Content of the Year went to Br. Hafiz Shahrol and Br. Aniq Daniel, and the Best Stand Upper of the Year went to Sr. Nur Hannah Sa`adah.
The climax of the program was the appointment of the new main board members of IIUM.FM for the upcoming tenure. The new head of all 9 bureaus were revealed during this last segment along with a photography session.
This dinner ended with a photography session, and everyone brought home wonderful memories. Today taught us to reflect and appreciate our hard work and also to cherish the memories and friends that we made throughout the year. Overall, it was a wonderful evening session that made us appreciate and strengthen the bond of all the IIUM.FM members. We hope to be able to hold another Annual Grand Dinner for the upcoming year.
